BORING!!!!!!!!!!!!

ive not posted for a while basically coz i aint been playing much , thats patently obvious coz guess who took the walk of shame at bloggerment 35 . Still coulda been worse , i might have lost to the hammer!!!!!!!!!

Im up for the RTR challenge on tuesday ( details can be found at www.raisetheriver.com ) where ive got $10 and 3hrs 30 mins to make as much of a profit as i can , but what makes this different from the previous challengers is that my better half Mair38 is competing at the same time .
Current leaderboard is

1st - HULLJIMI +$8.98

2nd MATTYH -$4.30

3rd BURNLEYMIK -$10 in 2 hrs 19 mins



so i think this isnt going to be the easiest thing ive ever had to do

RTR challenge

As i said on my earlier posting mair and I decided to do a dry run , well let me tell u all who are gonna give this a go - its forkin difficult.

I decided to play a few 18 man $1.75 turbos as im not too bad at them and theres a $10.80 1st prize .

So much for being ok at these tourneys , i played 4 and i finished 7th , 7th , 7th , and 6th so no money there . I did however managed to get a second in a 45 man 1.10 turbo where i scooped $10 but i gave up playing after 1hr 45 mins due to being overtired . dunno how Mair got on as she was out cold when i checked on her .

So conclusion : i ended up +$3.65 with 1hr 45 left but im under no illusions that i would have stayed that way had i continued with challenge - i guess i'll need to see when its my turn


Tonite ive got the welsh open APAT online tourney on blue square
probably bust out early but i'll give it my best shot

Think i'll turn pro like amatay ( naaah bugger that Mair would kill me )

i railed Matty last night when he did the RTR blog challenge . Didn't he do well !!!!! so that sort of inspired me to have a dry run before my turn and Mair agreed so it looks like we got our own family dry run comp .

Blonde / virgin challenge is over now so i'm gonna have to come up wi summat else to keep me amused midweek although i hear there is some sort of individual league coming up so i'll enter that

saturday at the APAT

some drive down it was a friggin nightmare i'd been up since 4 am and drove down to walsall , got here at 11:20 pm absolutely knackered, but a few pints sorted me out.

i got put on the reserve list for the APAT tourney but didnt get in what a bummer.
Mary played really well coming from 500 chips to 15k and bugged out when her AQ ran into KK after a Q high flop, i wouldve called that

earlier i was talkin to mair at the fruities and this strange guy came up to us and said "u must be Mair and Stan"

Poor guy was mikesaban , but i must say what a great guy mike is and i also had a nice chat with lou on mikes phone

Mike lost out when he got rivered with his pocket 9's by AK

pity coz that wouldve thrown him right back in the hunt

My only poker play was a £20 sng 10 man where i cashed out in 3rd winning £40 so i doubled my cash

How did it go?

Well thats a good question, not too great i guess . Bugged out the bloggerment when my AA met hulljimi's AK. he hit a K on the flop and another on the turn.So that was me out in 6th and out of the money.Similar story in the DTD league challenge made the final table for the second week in a row but went out 10th. Strange thing tho i was 6th in league before sunday and despite 10th place i drop to 11th , must be the way the scoring system works. Must be a few below me scored heavily .
Never mind still 3 weeks to go but might miss next weeks depending on what goes on at Walsall in the APAT

Last Week

My god is it a week since my last posting.

Well , poker gods aint been too kind to me loads of bad beats and bad play , think im about $20 down for the week but its the bloggerment and DTD team challenge tonite so hopefully ill cash and get some bucks back.

Been playing Resident Evil 4 on the wii a lot and im hooked.

JUst another small note Mair and I scooped £450 on the lottery last night which will go a long way to our trip to walsall next weekend.
I hope to be unable to play next sunday as either Mair or I or both of us (if i can buy in on the day) will be at final table in the APAT English open

Aftermath of sunday

I dont particularly like multitabling but for the next 5 weeks at least thats what i gotta do on sundays. This is due to the Acornmans Bloggerment and the RTR league match.

So as u read above i played both and to my surprise i did no too bad,
RTR league was a closely contested affair with Cogs eventually wearing down Kronstdat , i finished in 6th place which ( to me at least ) means that after 1/5 im still in with a shout .I think we will find as the league goes on we will get folks who wont qualify not bothering to play which is a pity coz its a gr8 crowd and i really enjoy playing with u guys.

Bloggerment went well until eventual 2 times in a row champ BurnleyMik took me out in 3rd with Matty taking second .

All in all not a bad weekends poker which showed me up by about $50

Sunday is the day of rest and poker

Sunday morning and i'm thinking of what to do today . I think i'll do some baking and cooking this afternoon and really looking forward to the acorn mans bloggerment ( if u dont know this why not join www.raisetheriver.com , its free and there some great laughs and poker to be had ) and also to the DTD raisethe river league which starts tonight . I need to do well coz i really fancy a trip to Nottingham partly to meet the guys and partly to see the new DTD club.
Maybe have a couple of SNG's to warm up but that wont be till later , hopefully the wee Martins will be settled and give Mair and i peace to play

Playing better now

Played a few low stakes sit n go tours tonite with a fair degree of success

1) 18 man $1.75 tour scooped 1st place and $10.8 into my coffers

2) 180 man $4.40 tour bugged out before the money but still a creditable 33rd

3) 45 man $1.10 tour scooped 1st again winning $14

biggest hand was hitting quad 9's taking 3 out leaving 3 left on final table - just wish it was a higher stakes game but balance was getting low after i was on a tilt so had to reduce my playing standard.

So at the end of the day i invested $7.25 and won $24.80 not a bad ROI i think

wasnt gonna play till RTR game but i got bored and thought i'd play a couple of 18 man SNG's.

Blew out 1st one in 10th then i hit the jackpot winning with pure skill , when there was 3 left i hit the nut flush and slow played it , chip leader went all in after the river and there was bollock else on the board so i felt compelled to call him . I soon took out the short stack in a 3 way hand so going into heads up i was sitting on 25K he was on 2K he got back up to 4K and he called my pocket ladies and didnt i go and hit quads on the flop . so as u can see by the headline,

Bad Beats and Bad Play

played the blonde / virgin challenge and bugged out in 20th when TT lost to JJ

Played a few sng's well 2 and due to bad beats i gave up

1) dealt QJ flop comes QQJ rainbow so 1 eejit goes all in , i think worse case its a split pot, i call he turns over KK and hits one on the river - out first hand.

2) 5 left in 18 man sng i get KK and guy bets 600 , i call

flop K 7 2 rainbow i push all in and i get called .
different eejit shows AA and hits on the river .

ok , sat was a washout in the APAT , i finished 97/159
played a couple of SNG's and showed a slight profit.

i crashed and burned early in the Bloggerment ( no big bsurprise there )

After doing well at the beginning i had a dramatic slide mainly due to getting hands but getting bollox on flopand eventually went out when my TT ran into JJ

I watched Mair for a while until she crashed out - unlucky to get beat by a river card but then again thats jokerstars for ya.

At this point our Lou was buzzin with Wayne and Mik cruising along nicely

i watched till about 11:30 then had to go to bed but when i checked this morning i saw Wayne went out just before the prizes but Mik and Lou made top 81

Im just about to start the Swiss open in the APAT online tour ( wish me luck ) finished 113/239 in the Austrian open so a money finish would be good ( as if !!!! )

I joined APAT ( amateur poker associaton tour ) so tonite im playing in the austrian open and on sat its the turn of the swiss - better not get too pissed watchin scotland on sat - need to keep my wits about me ( pls no comments bout me being a half wit lol )

Bloggerment 29

Another enjoyable Sunday night at the Bloggerment. This is a great crowd, I really enjoy playing with you guys.

Made the final table, lost a couple early on then it was really tight for quite a while got down to the last three with Carl being heavily stacked against me and Mair who were pretty much even. It got to the stage were the three of us were about even and then it was me and Carl all in and I took him out, which left hubby and wife Heads Up.

A couple hands of not much happening I pushed with pocket 10s only to run into Mair's AJ and did she not go and hit the full house and the Bloggerment Bridesmaid I became.

Well played Mair hats of to you, maybe next week I will lose my Bridesmaid tag and become the Bride.

Looking forward to the RTR League on Friday, last one of this season and the Bloggerment next Sunday.

Finally got around to creating my blog, lots happening with RTR and Bloggerment as well as Blonde/Virgin Challenge.
